Spring Porch Update

We are lucky to have a small front porch to decorate each season.  Even though I dream of a large front porch with rockers, I do have enough space for a small end table and two chairs, so I enjoy it.  It's a great place to sit when I'm waiting for the school bus or the kids are playing out on the driveway.

We were given a set of wicker furniture several years ago and the two chairs fit perfectly flanking the door.  The settee in the set I added to the back yard and used in a different location.

All it took to get my porch up and running again this spring was a good sweep, a couple of new pillows and flowers.  Don't flowers make all the difference?  I always try to choose a color palette to stick with when I purchase my outdoor flowers.  This year, I chose orange, red, and yellow.

Here is how it looks today.

To freshen up my wreath, I added a chalkboard with the word welcome on it.  It adds a touch of black which ties into the wicker chairs and house shutters.

What do you do to refresh your porch or outside areas each spring?

To life feeling like home!
