Run for the Roses: Find Your Kentucky Derby Style

For today's post, I am welcoming, My Life From Home Guest Contributor, Cally Gagnon.

Win Place or Show, Derby Attire is all the rage right now. It’s the first Saturday in May every year that has me giddy to attend a friend of mine’s annual Derby Party. Complete with Hot Brown Bites, Pimento Cheese, and Mint Juleps, one must “dress to the nines” in order to be a fashionable attendee.

Known as “The Fastest 2 Minutes in Sports,” I decided to challenge myself with “The Fastest 2 Minutes in Fashion.” I galloped to my closet to style these looks, 5 items or less! Hopefully, these outfits will have you feeling ready to rub elbows with any Derby Diva that crosses your perfectly styled path.

Derby attire can fit a variety of social settings. Whether viewing from the comfort for your home, attending a fabulous soiree, or participating in the Millionaires Row celebrations, be confident your style statement is sure to land you in the winners circle.

Bravos Southern Charm

If you are addicted to Bravo’s “Southern Charm” like me, you will recognize in the above image this signature style of Patricia. She’s so fabulous and I would squeal if I met Michael, her butler/bartender, any day of the week.

Need to relax with a celebratory beverage now that your style statement is set? My Grandma collected Derby glasses her whole life and I continue the tradition by purchasing one every year. Shake up her recipe!
