I'm so happy to be a part of this year's Holiday tour with All Things Big and Small Blog. Our holidays are a bit unusual in that we travel and are gone for the last two weeks of December every year. My parents live in AZ and coming from Ohio, we just can't resist the warmer climate this time of year. Because of that, I often rush to put decorations up only to not really enjoy them in the madness of packing, shipping Santa presents out and boarding a plane. This year, I decided to really concentrate on a few areas of my home and not try to decorate like a crazy fool like year's past.
I am so glad you have joined me today! Welcome to my home.

I decided to stick with traditional Christmas reds in my decor. I have neutral walls and decor and love how red pairs with it. I also love theme trees and have two of them in my home, a rustic tree with animal ornaments, and a kitchen tree. These little trees are the only ones I put up this year.
In the family room, we have our fireplace and seating area. This is where we spend most of our time. I layered in reds and buffalo checks in the throws and pillows on the couches. It gives it such a cozy feeling when a fire is roaring in the fireplace.
I started making snow globes last year and I put them all together on my tv stand.
My first tree is this little one here by the fireplace. I use cookie cutters and kitchen ornaments on it.
In the kitchen, my little eating nook gets a festive centerpiece with mitten salt and pepper shakers and a red truck.
I also change out my white mug collection to all my Christmas mugs just for the season. There is nothing like waking up with a cheery holiday mug every morning to get your day started off right!
Even Bonnie gets a little festive for the season!
My office is the next stop. My second little tree is covered with animal and rustic ornaments.
