I was so honored to receive a tour of the HGTV Urban Oasis Home 2018 located in Cincinnati, OH.

There are some major perks with blogging, but one of my all time favorites was the opportunity I had recently to tour the 2018 Urban Oasis Home which just so happens to be in Cincinnati, OH, my hometown! When they reached out and asked if I wanted to get a little backstage tour and meet the designer, Brian Patrick Flynn, I was like, heck yes!

This year’s home is located in a beautiful neighborhood just north of downtown Cincinnati. It’s full of vibrant restaurants, shops, and art galleries all within walking distance to this year’s dream home. My very first apartment when I moved to Cincinnati was just down the street from this location. I can tell you first hand that it is the place to be around town!

What was super exciting to me was that they decided to use local contractors, architects, and even a local artist to commission a special piece with a nod to Cincinnati Chili.

This year’s designer was once again Brian Patrick Flynn. His vision in this urban oasis was a colorful home full of playful elements and gorgeous outdoor areas fit for entertaining.

You are greeted by this gorgeous bright red door from Clopay. It screams, “come on in!”

Or just stay awhile on the lovely porch and enjoy a drink with your neighbors!

Right inside the door, there is a perfect little spot tucked in under the window where you can stop and take off your shoes.

Additionally on the first floor there is a charming little powder room, a living room, and bold and bright open kitchen and family room space.

Upstairs, there is a master bedroom and bathroom, along with two additional bedrooms and another full bathroom.

And coming up the stairs is one of my favorite elements, a huge art piece with a nod to our famous Cincinnati Chili!

Heading out back, there is a back porch with plenty of room for hosting an outdoor dinner party. And a fun surprise is a garage turned lounge hangout space fit for a king! With retractable garage doors, this is going to be the most popular spot on the block.
