This outfit today is one of my favorites! It is simple, yet has an elegant feel. I love the rich color of this sweater. It is very soft and has a great fit. The detail of the zippers on the shoulders make it very on trend. Paired with slim jeans and heels, it is a great outfit for date night.
I love having a little athlete in the family, but never know what to do with all the trophies and medals she earns. We recently moved her to her own room and one of her requests was a display space for her awards. It has taken us some time to come up with a cute way to display these but… View Post
Today’s outfit has fall written all over it. A chunky knit cream sweater is warm and cozy. Pair this with cute ankle boots to add style to denim.
Here are my favorite things: shoes, scarves and purses! Can’t beat these to make an impact on an outfit. The way that a scarf or a nice pair of heels changes the whole look of an outfit is amazing. It is worth investing a little more on these extras to get a nice piece which will last forever. Where a sweater may go out of style, a classic bag will not.
Here are the dresses and bottoms that I am working with this fall. It may not look like a lot, but every piece is versatile. Oh and can you tell I like denim! Now that I’m home, I live in the luxury called…. denim. I have spent the last 10 plus years wearing dress pants and I refuse to put on another pair at least for awhile. This is where I feel the journey has taken me and I am relishing in my option to wear alot of denim! With that said, I do have leggings, corduroys, cargo khakis, a cute skirt and two dresses to round out my wardrobe.
I thought I’d back up a second with the simplified wardrobe and show you over the next three days an easier view of what I have come up with as my basic wardrobe. I have put together three collections: tops and sweaters, bottoms and dresses, and shoes and accessories. Today I am showing you the tops and sweaters collection that I will be using to make up the outfits I will be posting.
I have had the hardest time finding an organizational solution for my jewelry! I ♥ jewelry. With the exception of a few pieces, my jewelry is mostly costume jewelry which I can replace with new pieces when I’m tired of them. I believe that jewelry can truly make clothing into an outfit. Now to organizing it. I purchased from a jewelry supply store the supplies I need and got to work.
One of the best things about homeschooling is that you can make learning happen anywhere! I have enjoyed turning even the most mundane activities into a learning experience for Emma. I feel like I often missed out on teaching our children basic life skills because we were so caught up in the craziness of school, sports and just life in general. One of my goals this year is to slow down and teach her some valuable life skills that will help her be a more well-rounded individual as an adult.
We just finished a science unit on nutrition and I was looking for a way to extend it when I came across this packet called Grocery Store Math.
Here is the 3rd outfit I came up with in my simplified wardrobe. This time, you may recognize the gray jeans and the black boots. I paired them with a polka dot tee I already had and a really cute poncho that I bought from Old Navy this season. A chevron necklace and the outfit is complete!
Mission Organization: Kids Artwork; 3 solutions to help with all that paper! I ♥ MY KIDS and I think their art work is GREAT, but what to do with all that paper? I have found 3 solutions that I have been using for a while to display and store their work.
