I love fresh flowers, especially in the spring. It's such a nice feeling after a long winter to have the doors flung open and the warm air circulating through the house. Here in Cincinnati, the trees have started to flower and the bulbs I planted are blooming. It's just a pretty time of year with the green grass and warmer weather.
With our house being under construction for so long, it has been the simple things like a flower arrangement which have kept me sane! My favorite place to grab flowers is Trader Joe's. They have an amazing selection of flowers which are perfect for handmade arrangements.
I'm always looking for unusual ways to display flowers outside of just using a vase. Today's project uses a wooden crate which I painted and stenciled for another post. It's the perfect size for a pretty arrangement.

Supplies:
Fresh Flowers– I used Ranunculus, Sweet William, Eucalyptus, Carnations
Instructions:
1. I started by putting a piece of wax paper on the bottom of the crate to protect it from water.
2.Soak a floral brick and place in the bottom of the toolbox.
3. Begin with the Eucalyptus branches adding them around the perimeter of the box.
4. Snip and add Carnations next.
5. Finish by turning your box and adding in your Ranunculus and Sweet William to make a full arrangement on all sides.
I love how it turned out and looks fantastic right by my front door!
If you would like to see how I made this crate, check out this post.

Your toolbox with the stencil is so attractive, and I love the flowers that you chose for the arrangement. The colors are so pretty together. Your entryway and stairway look very nice! The colorful flowers really pop against the neutrals of the entryway.
