I was looking for a fun way to decorate my half bathroom on my main floor. I have creamy white walls and a black vanity and mirror. I have been seeing the letter gallery walls on Pinterest and decided that a letter wall in my small bath would be a fun twist on traditional bathroom decor.
Using the initial from our last name, I sought out a mix of monogram letters to add. Wood, metal, and even burlap letters add a mix of different styles and textures. I even made a rustic wood framed letter with a barn wood frame. You can see the full tutorial for it here.
Here is the result of my letter Dd bathroom. I love how it turned out. It still has a neutral palette, but a ton of interest now.
Can you see the little D hanging from the doorknob? That was a metal gift tag I received!

The key to this look is to have enough to make a statement, but not so many that it looks gaudy or tacky. I concentrated on the main wall and then added just one monogram on each of the other walls.
My letters were purchased mostly from Hobby Lobby. The largest one is wooden and I just painted it black to match. Here are some similar ones here and here for purchase.
I think another space that would look just as great with letters are an entryway, stairwell or hallway.
