Who wants to be more organized in 2016?! Hands in the air! Well, if that's a goal you've made for the new year, then you've come to the right place!
I love organizing. It gives me a warm fuzzy feeling to know that I've accomplished something worthwhile. It always feels good to have accomplished something which improves your life and home.
If you've been following me throughout 2015, you will know I'm a goal setter. I love setting goals, seeing them completed, and then marking them off the list. In the beginning of the year, I was documenting these goals monthly for you to follow along with, but as the blog grew and other projects (like painting my kitchen cabinets!) took priority, my organizing kind of fell to the wayside.

I'm excited to share that this year, I've joined forces with other bloggers to organize the Kon Mari way. If you aren't familiar with this method, it is based on a book called The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo. If you are interested in following along with us on this journey, you can pick up the book and join in on our project.
What I like about this method is the plan. Often times, organizing can be very overwhelming to start with. In the book, each area is broken down in chunks so that you can tackle one thing at a time. I like that she gives you specific ways to decide whether to keep an item or throw it out, also a specific manner to organize your items for the most pleasure out of what you own.
If you do decide to read the book and follow along, then I will warn you that some of her ideas may seem a little strange (at least to me!), but I do like the overall concept and am planning on using the method as it suits me.
Ok, so here's how it's going to work. Our Kon Mari Bloggers group will post once a month our projects so that you can follow along and see our projects and process. I would love it if you would also comment and link your organizing projects as well. That way we can all benefit from each other's ideas. We created a hashtag to use to identify this project. It is #bloggersorganize2016.
I am really looking forward to seeing how this changes our homes and lives! Join me!
