Colorblock For Fall

I hope you had fun with my Stitch Fix survey yesterday!  I didn't realize until it was too late that it only allows you to choose 1 answer?!  What's that about?  Well, anyway, it must have been fate, because I only kept 1 item from this month's box.  I absolutely loved everything, but I either had something already like it or it just didn't fit me quite right.  I have a condition called, “Long Arm,” which means that I have especially long appendages and it makes it very difficult in the fall and winter.  I'm good in the summer, with short sleeves and all, but come winter, my 5'11 height and long arms test my fashion skill level.  Any other tall girls out there?  If so, we could start a “Long Arm” support group for sure!

I communicated this condition to my Stitch Fix stylist and am hoping for better results next time.

If you didn't get to vote, then the survey is open through today and I'll tell you my 1 item I chose and why tomorrow!

Today, I want to talk about a hot trend called color blocking.

I love, love, love this look.  It's basically using blocks of colors/ patterns pieced together.  Sometimes you see one color on the front and a completely different color on the back of the shirt or sleeves.  Also, it can be two completely different colors as a top and bottom outfit.  The outfit I'm showing you today has two variations, one lighter and one darker, and it's pieced together on the sleeves.
