Ask Amy! Life From Home this Month and a Spring Printable

{This post contains affiliate links, see full disclosure here.}

I haven't done an Ask Amy! post in a while.  I thought it was about time to give you some randomness of things I love, shows I'm watching, and answer any questions you might have for me!  It's always fun to connect with you on a more personal level.  Please feel free to ask me anything in the comments below.  Well, maybe not anything. 🙂  but, I'll do my best to answer.

I've also got a FREE Spring Printable you won't want to miss, so make sure to scroll all the way down this post to download it for yourself!

First off, I am crazy busy with this remodel!  I feel like my whole life has been turned upside down.  Even though it's just one large space, I feel like the whole house is messed up.  I hate that feeling.  And guess what?  It's still not done.  Ugh.  I was really hoping that I'd have a reveal for you guys this week, but not so much.  Ok, moving on….

Random Thoughts…..

Favorite show right now: We just finished watching Medici on Netflix.  It's a historical fiction account of the Medici family in 15th- century Florence, Italy.  It has Rob Stark from Game of Thrones in it along with Dustin Hoffman (? I know, random.) It is REALLY good.

Favorite books I'm reading:  I am totally in over my head with the Red Queen series by Victoria Aveyard.  I am on book 3 called King's Cage. It is Hunger Game (ish)~ a dystopian with action suspense, and a little romance. A definite read if you like a good tween/ teen novel.

What I'm buying: All things for my bathroom! but I have been getting my spring wardrobe together.  I recently purchased this Bell Sleeve shirt from Madewell.

I think it will be cute with jeans or shorts.  I also got this shirt,  Jaedynn Top from Ella Moss in black.

And this Hi-lo ruffle tank from Gap in white and it's on sale now for $19!

Going Places?  Greg and I are taking a long weekend and heading down to the Jazz Festival in New Orleans the last weekend of April.  We have been once before a couple of years ago.  It's super casual with live music playing all day and good food.  This year, the lead acts are Tom Petty, Maroon 5, Lorde, Leon Bridges and other great musicians.  I am excited to see the sun and just relax!

Can't Wait For: I can't wait for warm weather! We bought my son this bike for his birthday in February. He hasn't been able to do much practicing yet because of the weather.  It will be fun to get him going when it's warmer.

I'm also excited to get out on our patio again.  Here's a look at it last year.

I'm really thinking this bar cart from Target would be a great addition this summer.

Spring Cleaning:  Have you started your spring cleaning yet?  I just read this book, The Home Decluttering Diet: Organize Your Way to a Clean and Lean House by Jennifer Liford and I am excited to work my way through each space of my home using her tips.  This book has bright and beautiful pictures to go along with the text.  It's a gorgeous coffee table book also!  Another good organizing read before you start spring cleaning is, Organizing For Your Lifestyle: Adaptable Inspirations from Socks to Suitcases by Jane Stoller.  It doesn't have the pretty pictures that the above one has, but this one has a special chapter on organizing for travel which is super helpful!

Did You See That?

My friend, Kim from Knock it off Kim redid her powder room for $100!  It's a great before and after.  I love the navy vanity and the wall art is so fun!

Isn't it amazing!!

What's New?  I can't believe I'm saying this, but I started my own YouTube Channel. Mind you, I am not a huge fan of making videos, but I sure do like watching them!  Guys, I'm going to give it a try and I would love to have you SUBSCRIBE if you are so inclined!

Freebie for You!: I made this little freebie for you.  All you have to do is click on the link below.  It will take you to the PDF version and you can print it out and frame it for yourself!

To life feeling like home!

XO,

  1. Such a fun series! Love that bell-sleeve top – I’ve been eyeing one up like it. We have such a short spring here that I’ll not get much wear out of it so I’ve been hmmming and huhing! Thanks so much for sharing my powder room! If you need me I’ll be checking out the Red Queen series! xoxo

All of those tops you got are so pretty – I can’t wait to see how you style them 🙂 I want to check out the Medici show, too! Our fave current show on Netflix (Death in Paradise) is leaving at the end of this month and we’ll need something else to watch!
