Today, I'm sharing with you a thrift store cabinet makeover and how I styled it in my coffee bar for extra storage. I'm always on the hunt for good pieces of furniture at thrift stores and this small cabinet is probably one of my favorites of all time! It is narrow, on wheels, and has a beautiful wood detail on the front. As ugly as it was when I found it, I knew it would be the prettiest little piece when I gave it a good cleaning and painting!
Let's take a look at the before pictures of this piece.

After a couple of coats of white chalk paint (LINK) and using sandpaper to distress the piece, it looked like a brand new piece!
I feel like the paint enhances the beautiful features such as the wood carvings, wheels, and ledge on the back. I used the same hardware from the original piece. After painting, I sealed it with a clear wax (LINK)
It fit perfectly next to my coffee bar and provides me with extra storage for mugs below and spoons and other utensils in the drawer. I topped it with a DIY faux topiary that I made.
I love this little area. I definitely put it to good use each day! My Keurig K-Cafe Coffee Maker makes single serve coffees, espressos, lattes, and mochas (LINK)! It has a frother built in which is a great feature.
Do you have a coffee bar set up in your kitchen?
XO,
[…] For this makeover, I used this removable wallpaper NuWallpaper (LINK) from Lowes. The little white cabinet was a thrift store makeover! You can see more about this update here (LINK). […]
