Last week you got a peek at my Classic & Cozy Christmas Family Room Tour (LINK). Today, I'm sharing more specifics on our Christmas mantel. Many of you may notice that I have a new addition above the mantel! His name is Daryl. I am an ultimate animal lover and would never hurt a fly, so my idea of hanging a taxidermy is simply in honor and appreciation of this beautiful creature! Daryl came to me from the Springfield flea market. I saw his gorgeous eyes and wanted to put him in a place of honor above our mantel. My kids are not completely sold on him but I think he looks fabulous especially with his rich green velvet ribbon I gave him for Christmas.

I purchased this gorgeous velvet ribbon (LINK) in several colors including this rich green. I tied it around Daryl's neck and let it drape over the ends of the Christmas sign I purchased last year from Target. Unfortunately, I no longer see this sign in stock. I also tied bows on our stockings and let the ends trail down. The combination of the rich green and winter white stockings looks very elegant.
Stocking holders are also from Target including this new one just for Irving (LINK). The cable knit stockings in Ivory (LINK) have been a staple for a few years now. I added a silver monogram ornament (LINK) to each one to identify them.
The blue and white candlesticks were thrifted along with the white mirrors. The trees on the end were purchased at Hobby Lobby. I like the symmetry they add to the mantle. Just a little greenery ties it all together.
I hope you enjoyed this closer look and you can see even more in this YouTube vide tour, (LINK).
XO,
