After my unforgettable experience on a Crystal Cruises (you can read my full review here), it’s safe to say I’ve caught the cruising bug. There’s something so calming about sailing into a new port, cocktail in hand, and knowing your suitcase is already unpacked.
It’s got me thinking about what’s next on my cruising bucket list. From sleek riverboats to intimate luxury liners, here are seven cruise lines I’d absolutely love to try.
Viking does things a little differently; no kids, no casinos, and no fuss. Their ships feel more like boutique hotels than traditional cruise liners, and their itineraries are packed with cultural immersion. I love the idea of learning while I travel, and Viking seems to nail that balance of elegance and education.
Known as one of the most all-inclusive cruise lines in the world, Regent includes everything from business-class flights to gourmet dining and shore excursions. Their ships are smaller, which makes for a more personalised and relaxing experience, definitely my kind of cruising.
Stylish, modern and full of personality, Celebrity Cruises has been on my radar for a while. Their Edge Series ships are beautifully designed and include features like infinite verandas and rooftop gardens. I’d love to experience their balance of laid-back luxury and innovation.
Silversea is synonymous with ultra-luxury. Think spacious suites, butler service and off-the-beaten-path itineraries. I’ve got my eye on one of their expedition cruises, imagine spotting penguins in Antarctica while sipping champagne. Dreamy.
River cruising is a whole different pace of travel, and AmaWaterways is one of the leaders in the space. Their European routes through the Danube and Rhône look stunning, and they’re known for top-notch cuisine and small-group excursions. Perfect for a slower, more scenic journey.
Azamara’s focus on immersive, destination-rich itineraries really speaks to me. They stay in port longer, sometimes overnight, which gives you more time to explore each destination. Their ships are smaller and more intimate, which adds to that boutique hotel feel on the water.
For something a little different, Ponant blends French luxury with expedition cruising. Their partnership with National Geographic means incredible itineraries, and I love that they put a big emphasis on sustainability. Their yacht-style ships are just stunning — definitely one for the wishlist.
Cruising offers a unique blend of luxury and adventure that’s hard to beat. I’m so excited to keep exploring this way of travel, and who knows, maybe you’ll see My Life From Home on board one of these beautiful ships very soon…
