Our new house has a lot of interior doors. Nineteen to be exact! And every single door had these really ugly worn out builder basic brass doorknobs. Not my favorite! In our last house, we styled our rooms with pops of black and one of the project updates I did was replace all the door hardware to matte black. With this house, we’ve let the house guide us style-wise and are taking a more muted color palette with white and neutral walls with gray, green, and pink as accents. In addition, we have added touches of antique brass in the lighting and throughout the decor. It’s a very elegant and classic cottage style.
My desire was to coordinate the doorknobs with our style for a fresh new look. Nostalgic Warehouse offers an amazing selection of vintage-inspired hardware and knobs for all styles. When delving into their website, I was so impressed with the variety and the ability you have to mix and match plates with knobs. All combinations can be previewed on their website to ensure you like the look.
There were so many gorgeous choices, but I really was smitten with the look of the crystal knobs. They reminded me of grandmas house with that perfect vintage style and the twinkle of sparkle when the light hits them. Paired with a brass antique cottage style plate and they are absolute perfection!
Aren’t they gorgeous? This is the Cottage Short Plate with Crystal Knob.
This is our powder room. I’ll share more in the future about my growing vintage Paint by Numbers collection. ????
For now, let’s just admire these beauties. Sigh! It’s like icing on a cake!
