Today I have a fun little project to share with you. Have you seen those gorgeous gold-dipped vases? They are seen in high-end home decor magazines and usually, run around $100! I'm going to show you how to replicate the look with $10 and 10 minutes of your time!
DIY Gold Dipped Bud Vases
Some of my favorite projects are using thrift store items or items that you have stashed away around your house.
I got 3 of these small bud vases at Goodwill and bought a can of Krylon Gold Metallic Spray Paint to complete this fun upcycled project.
Begin by taping off the sections of your vase that you want the glass to show through. These will be the areas that do not get spray painted.
After you have taped off your sections, give your vases several coats of gold spray paint and let dry completely in between.
I wanted my vases to each be different so I taped off different areas on each one.
I love the way they turned out.
These would be great on a vanity tray, bedside table, or even on a windowsill to add a little glam to your space.
You can use this same procedure on any store-bought or thrifted vase to achieve the same look.
I'm so excited to share that I have teamed up with some fun blogging friends to bring you a Spring Into Creativity giveaway! Click below to register and win a $100 to spend at Michaels and a years subscription to Do It Yourself magazine!
