Hi, friends! Thanksgiving is on my mind! Yesterday I shared my Thanksgiving tablescape and today I am going to show you my mantel decor for the upcoming holiday. I actually love taking the time to decorate my mantel for the seasons and holidays. Even a subtle change can make a fun difference for the season. I've really been feeling sad for Thanksgiving! It is highly overlooked in the decorating world since Christmas follows so soon after. And nowadays, it often gets completely forgotten between the fun of Halloween and the rush of Christmas. I decided to remedy that in my own little way and put together a Thanksgiving mantel. So, if you are a Thanksgiving lover like me, I have some great ideas for you today. If not, I'll see you back here in a few weeks with my amazing Christmas mantel! 🙂
BE Thankful Thanksgiving Mantel
Mantel decorating is one of my favorite ways to add seasonal decor to my home. The key to a well thought out mantel is to add texture, layers, and colors. Draw from the room around you and begin by layering varying heights to create visual interest. I have used my mirrors and window to create a backdrop for the items in the front. A simple glass cloche filled with pinecones, candles and a vase with seasonal branches add depth and interest. Lastly, I added a Thankful garland as a nod to the upcoming holiday. â €
Don't be afraid to add and remove until you feel it reflects your home, personality, and style. â €
These are the go-to items I recommend: mirrors, vases, candlesticks, artwork, items from nature, tobacco baskets, and glass terrariums.â €
