Transforming a vintage table for a whole new look is simple with One Step Paint.

I met Amy Howard at Haven last summer and was so enthralled with her booth on painting techniques. If you aren't familiar with her products, here is a link to her site, Amy Howard at Home. She has a plethora of painting products, tools, and finishes for all your painting needs. I recently had the opportunity to try her One Step Paints on a small antique table I am making over for my One Room Challenge office space. I am introducing a pretty green into my mostly neutral home decor by adding a chalkboard and several pops of green throughout with plants and this little green table.
Amy Howard has a vast color selection. I was looking for a muted green that would pair well with my other green accents in the room. I chose Cherbourg. This is a water based paint which will dry to a chalky finish. No prep is needed, you apply it directly to the wood. Make sure the paint is shaken and then stirred well before you begin painting because it does settle on the bottom of the jar. It goes on smoothly and without any bubbles. It was thick and covered completely with one coat!

I love how my little table turned out just with the paint step but decided to try a dark wax finish to give it an aged look.
Apply your wax to your brush and then wipe it off before applying to your piece of furniture. Apply in a criss-cross manner paying special attention to the corners and crevices in the piece where natural wear and tear would occur. The purpose of the wax is to preserve your piece and with dark wax, it will give it a worn or aged look.

I don't want to show you too much because I'm saving the reveal for Week #6 of the One Room Challenge, but here is a sneak peek of the pretty little green table in its new place!
I highly recommend you try Amy Howard at Home!
To life feeling like home!

Your little table looks very nice there in front of the window with it’s new paint job. I’ve used Amy Howard spray paint and clear wax, and I was very pleased with the smooth finish.
I’m a sucker for little side tables, such fun to makeover and easy to switch around. Your little curvy number came out beautifully, and I love the hue!
It is gorgeous, Amy and love your chair in front of those windows! Cannot wait to see it all next week! xo
