4 Houseplants You Can’t Kill!

There are 4 houseplants that are easy to care for and hard to kill!

Today, I'm hoping to convince you to take the leap on a new houseplant!  Bringing something living into your home gives your home not only style, but offers you health benefits as well!  Plants help to clean the air around you and who wouldn't want that!

I often hear that people are intimidated by houseplants or don't think they have a green thumb.  I agree that some plants can be temperamental, but the four I'm showing you today are easy to care for with very little maintenance or work.

4 Houseplants You Can't Kill

POTHOS

Characteristics: 

  • Heart Shaped Leaves
  • Trailing Behavior

Care Tips:

  • Bright Indirect Light
  • Don't overwater, roots will rot
  • Trim when needed and can propagate leaves

 

PILEA

Characteristics:

  • Called Chinese Money Plant or Friendship Plant

Care Tips:

  • Rotate it to keep it nicely shaped and stem straight
  • Bright Indirect Sunlight
  • Water when soil is dry to touch
  • When babies form in soil, remove and propagate by replanting in a new pot

MONSTERA DELICIOSA

Characteristics:

  • Large Swiss cheese Leaves

Care Tips:

  • Water Thoroughly when dry and starting to limp
  • Needs Bright, Indirect Sunlight
  • Rotate for even growth
  • Wipe dust gently with damp cloth

SPIDER PLANT

Characteristics:

  • Narrow Variegated Leaves

Care Tips:

  • Water well with drainage
  • Bright Light
  • Propagate baby spiders and root them in water, then replant
