After a visit to a tour of homes, I’m going to be sharing my favorite takeaways.
I had the opportunity to visit our local Homearama this summer. We are lucky to have such a fun event hosted in our city each year. I love to visit for the inspiration and to get ideas for my own home.
While there this year, I decided to observe and categorize some trends that I saw in the homes I visited. These are trends that I think we’ll be seeing over and over again in the coming season.
5 Takeaways From Our Local Homearama
1. Patterned Tile
Patterned tile continues to be all the rage not only on the floor but also the walls.
2. Backyard Entertaining Spaces
These backyard spaces were decked out with outdoor kitchens, fireplaces, tv’s, and the coolest invisible screens.
3. Shades of Blue
All shades of blue on the walls and furniture. Gorgeous navy looks so rich and classic.
4. Rustic Elements
Rustic elements including wood beams, brick backsplashes and wood accent walls were seen everywhere.
5. Modern Farmhouse Style
I definitely think farmhouse style is here to stay! Shiplap, lots of texture, barn wood, and wrought iron were seen throughout the decor.
Such an inspiring and fun tour! I can’t wait to implement some of these elements in my home!
