Today I have teamed up with Christopher and Banks to bring you a fun post about holiday wardrobe style. The holiday party invitations are going to be rolling in soon and you don't want to be caught looking at your closet saying, “What do I wear?” So, in thinking ahead, I'm going to give you 5 tips on choosing the perfect holiday outfit that is suitable for any celebration. Whether it's an office party or a Friendsgiving, you will be ready for any event by following these tips.
Holiday Outfit Styling Tips
1. Choose separates
Separates provide you the versatility to wear the items again styled in a whole different way. Here I have paired dressy black pants with a velvet top. Both the top and bottoms can be worn again to create whole new looks. Using separates gives you endless possibilities for mixing and matching post- holiday.
2. Add fun accessories
This is your opportunity to sparkle! Add that statement necklace, sequined pumps, or glittery handbag to your outfit. These little touches add a festive and chic touch to your look.
3. Pick items with color or texture
Fur, velvet, metallic, and sequins are all glamorous and speak to the celebration of the season. Don't shy away from incorporating them into your outfit. A fur coat, velvet top or sequined skirt are bold and beautiful. Not a huge fan of black? Don't worry because rich colors like red, magenta, emerald, and royal blue are just as beautiful.
4. Don't sacrifice comfort
If you are like me, I do not have as much fun if I am uncomfortable in the outfit I choose. Don't like heels? Choose a patent leather wedge like these from Christopher and Banks. They are just as dressy as heels, and you'll be much more comfortable on your feet all evening.
5. Think about your activity
Will your party be inside? Outside? A casual affair? Black tie?
Your sleeveless dress may still work for that cold evening, but make sure to have a bolero, wrap, or matching coat to wear over your outfit. If your event is casual, think jeans, heels and your sequined top and glittery purse.
The possibilities are endless. Most of all, holiday outfits are the perfect opportunity to stretch your style, show your personality and incorporate unique and fun pieces.

Yes, me too Kati!
Excellent tips especially about the having separates. I found seperates are easier to style especially when you have to travel but don’t desire to pack a lot of clothing.
Thank you, Lanae! I agree. I really prefer separates myself.
What a polished all-black look Amy. I love the velvet and that present looks so pretty!

Love the outfit. Looks so stylist and pretty while be comfortable at the same time. Just what I look for in clothing. The layered look necklace is really nice.
