I'm on this healthy eating bandwagon. I say bandwagon because my Facebook feed is full of those direct sales companies wanting me to invest in the latest shake or protein powder. I am certainly not opposed to those things because they are a win for me, but for my kids, it is much harder to find something healthy that they will eat and not complain about. I shared with you a few months ago how I am loving Garden Lites muffins for myself.
Well, guess what? They have also become a big hit for the lunch box. I enjoy them with coffee for a break and my kids enjoy them for a healthy lunch snack. I couldn't be happier to have found something packed full of veggies but tastes yummy and looks appetizing. My kids are typical kids, anything that looks sugary or like a bakery treat is something they gravitate towards, ” Oh, look at that sugary treat!” Cue eyes wide open and tongue hanging out. This is the mom win…. these look just like your favorite treat, but are full of healthy veggies!
I love the convenience of them as well. Psst. I don't even have to turn on the oven. I can grab one straight from the freezer, stick in their lunch box and by lunch time, it is thawed and ready to eat. A super easy solution for those busy rushed mornings of running out the door. You do have those, right? I hope I'm not the only mom out there that seems to unconsciously hit the snooze button in the AM.
Want to try these for yourself and your family?
I found mine in the breakfast foods freezer section of my local Kroger. You can find yours in the freezer section of your nearest Publix, Stop & Shop, Giant, Shop-Rite, HEB, Kroger, or Costco.
Why choose Garden Lites? They are veggie rich, with vegetables being the first and primary ingredient in all products. These chocolate muffins are made with fresh zucchini and carrots! In addition, products are gluten, dairy, and nut free for those with allergies. They are easy and convenient to grab from the freezer, pack in the lunchbox, and enjoy by lunch time.
Perfect for the lunch box!
Or like most days, our first choice for an afternoon snack!
You can learn more about Garden Lites, you can visit their website.
Still need to find these locally – I think I am more like your kids… aka if it looks like a dessert I prefer it 🙂
Mmm I love blueberry muffins so these sound great!
They are super yummy, Sarah!
Oh, I hadn’t heard of these. The flavors look great and I love that they are gluten, dairy, and nut free.
Seems like a big win to me!
Yes, Morgan! I am thrilled I found these!
I love the chocolate Garden Lites. The only place I’ve found them in my area is Target frozen food section. They’re yummy!
