TAKING WHITE DENIM INTO FALL

If you remember, I did a whole post on white denim.  It is one of my favs for summer, but it can also be a good transition piece into fall.  The old rule of “no white after Labor Day” no longer applies, so white denim makes a perfect transition when the days are still warm and the evenings are cooler.

There are several ways to make it work for fall.

1. Add a blazer!

 This mustard color is perfect for the changing weather and gives you the coverage you may need throughout the day when the weather fluctuates.

2. Another tip is to put on a closed toe shoe.  Beach weather is behind us (tears, tears) so pack away those flip-flops and pull out your closed toe shoes.

3. Another into fall way to use your white denim is to pair it with a denim jacket or a denim shirt.  Both are much-loved fall items that provide a perfect combination with your white.

4. Lastly, pairing your white denim with darker, richer colors anchors the white and makes it more fall appropriate.  Put away your bright bold corals, pinks, and pastels and instead, pull out your navy's, gray's and blacks for the transitional season.
