Hi, friends! I don't know about you, but its about this time of year that I start wishing for warmer weather! It has been a particularly brutal winter here in Ohio so far with severely cold temperatures and lots of snow. It's pretty and all until I have to go out in it!
I try my hardest each year to make the house as warm and cozy as I can during these cold months. Since we spend so much time indoors, I want it to feel inviting. Today our Decorate Your Mantel team is back with ideas on how decorate your mantel for winter. I decided to make a few tweaks to my Farmhouse Christmas Mantel Dressed in Candlelight to give it a winter look.
I removed the candles and replaced with black lanterns. The garland that was on the mantel for Christmas was also removed. The evergreen trees, tobacco baskets, and farmhouse chalkboard stayed. I changed out the chalk note to say, Brrrrr…. instead of believe and that was it!
This space is our office and I use it almost daily for reading and working on blog posts. It's a beautiful space with views of the courtyard. I made a fire in this fireplace last week and it was the coziest spot you can imagine!

XO,
Oh my gosh, I wish I had a fireplace in my office! You’re so lucky! I hope you’re feeling more settled in your home now, Amy! Thanks for hosting this hop.
This looks so cozy!! I love those baskets. Thanks for hosting – I always love seeing everyone’s mantels!
This definitely feels inviting, Amy! I miss having a wood-burning fireplace; there’s something so cozy about building a fire and hearing it crackle—gas inserts just aren’t the same! Plus you get to use that great copper pail for wood!
Such a warm and cozy Winter Mantel Amy! You must love sitting by the fire in that cozy chair reading & blogging. Thanks for hosting this fun hop!
