Hello! Today I’m sharing an update on our master bath renovation. It is coming along slowly but surely! After the initial demo, it seems like it’s been a standstill. I know it hasn’t, but it feels like not anything visible has happened. In reality, the plumbing is being rerouted along with a vent and other fun stuff like that. Important, but nothing really pretty to look at.
It was, however, a big week of decision making. I am sharing my inspiration board with you today to give you a look at what I’m thinking about style wise for this space.
My goal is to make this a warm and cozy space with rustic and luxurious touches! I want it to flow seamlessly with the style of the rest of our home as well. Using neutrals such as black and white to anchor the space along with wood.
The complete space was gutted and all new fixtures including a rustic handmade vanity and makeup table will be added. We are expanding the bathroom into our bedroom about two feet. Even with that new additional square footage, we are still working with space constraints. We ultimately decided to lose the tub and instead do a spa shower. The existing shower was so small and to really open that up, a tub couldn’t be added. I truly went back and forth on this, but feel like we will get the same luxury we want from a spa shower and there is a tub in the kid’s bathroom, so we aren’t without one.

Farmhouse Bath Renovation
I am oohing and ahhing over my patterned cement tile. It was a must have for me as soon as I came across it. Everything else in the space was designed around it. Though I will tell you, it is not going on the floor. Wait until you see what I have up my sleeve.
