DIY Halloween Tree

So I've been seeing these cute little Halloween ornaments around at the craft stores lately.  Have you seen them?  They are so cute! I picked up a few not sure at first what I was planning on doing with them. I knew I wanted to have a tree of sorts, but different from your traditional Christmas type of tree. I also knew I didn't want it to look too “perfect,” but instead kind of rustic.

Then it dawned on me to grab some branches from my back yard. I always love when I get an inspiration and it's free.  My husband would say that a free inspiration doesn't happen that often around here and he's probably right!

I found this cute vase, filled it with green craft foam and brought different sizes of branches in from my back yard. It just took a moment to get the configuration I wanted. Oh, and also make sure it is balanced as it did fall over on me twice before I got it just right! Then it was time for the ornaments. I loved it so much that it became the centerpiece on my foyer console.
