I came across this eclectic cottage kitchen via Country Living this week and just loved the open shelving, wood counters, and the curtain detail under the farmhouse sink.
I know the idea of open shelving doesn't appeal to some people. I appreciate the combination of having closed and open storage. I also recently added some curtains in my kitchen which like above add warmth and soften the hard lines.
Another thought on my mind has been redoing my storage in my dining room. I have a lot of dishes (ha!) and would love a vintage piece like this one below to store some of them. The closed storage on the side would be nice for napkins and silverware as well.
You know I have an obsession with green and just saw this Shabby Green Nantucket Sink over on Wayfair (LINK). How cute is that? Not only for a kitchen but it would be perfect in a mudroom or laundry room!
