Master Bedroom & Bathroom Renovation Fixture Details

Ok, guys, I'll be honest, I'm starting to think we'll never get there!  We are rounding 3rd base, but my head is saying, “I'll believe it when I see it.”  If you've been following along, you know that we are tackling a huge remodel of our master suite.  Not only was the bathroom brought down to the studs, but it was expanded into the bedroom and we are doing some fun things in there also.  First things first, here is the BEFORE, the INSPIRATION BOARD, HALFWAY THERE, and my INSPIRING SPACES.

Today, I'm talking fixtures!  I have had to make so many decisions all at once and it can be so overwhelming.  I like to spend time doing my research on each item so I've spent countless hours on the computer.  My eyes are about to go crossed, but I think we got some good stuff for our bathroom.

Let's start with the shower.  I was really wanting that spa shower.  Since we got rid of the bathtub for this renovation, it was very important to me that we did our shower up like a luxury spa.  I wanted multiple features and with a small bench in the shower, the ability to sit and shave my legs.  After pricing all kinds of things ala carte, I found this awesome panel spa shower from Home Depot.

What do you think?

The best part was I found it in copper which will be a great accent against the white subway tile and it ties in nicely with the other fixtures.  With 8 jets, a wand, and a rainshower, it will give us lots of options.

Next up was our faucets.  This vintage looking faucet was love at first sight!  I really wanted a wall mount and again sticking with copper.  Mounted on the beautiful tile wall, these faucets are works of art all on their own.

For the sinks, we went with these rectangular semi-recessed sinks from Wayfair.  They are rectangular and look classic in our rustic vanity we are building.

For our toilet, we purchased this American Standard.  I love the streamlined look and the best part?  No cleaning around the plumbing!

Maybe my favorite thing by far is our lights!  I wanted barn lighting.  I know that may seem odd in the bathroom, but with our vaulted ceiling, we can use a larger fixture to balance out the height.  These  Copper Gooseneck Lights were purchased through Barn Light Electric. They give you options for the length of the gooseneck, the size of the shade, and the finish which is perfect for customizing it to your space.

Here is the fixture we chose.

Isn't it a beauty?  They just got hung today and I am all heart eyes!

In addition to can lighting, a wall lamp over the toilet will add extra light.  This Vitemolla sconce from IKEA with its globe light will add farmhouse charm.

Here it is in the new space.

What's left? Painting, installing toilet and sinks, finishing touches, and the shower glass.

I'm really hoping that the next post update will be the reveal!! Let's cross our fingers.

Update: It's Done!  Come see the FULL REVEAl.

To life feeling like home!

  5. It’s looking amazing! You’ll be so glad you put the time and effort into finding all these treasures. I love that shower panel (and everything else!). I promise you’ll get there, and I can’t wait to see the final product!

  6. It is the little touches that make the biggest difference. I really love that you are mixing metals in your bathroom. The different light fixtures you chose compliment each other nicely but make it so that the everything isn’t to matchy matchy. Looking forward to seeing the entire reveal.
