Over the course of the last 6 months, we had to cancel two international vacations we were really looking forward too, so with our 20th wedding anniversary approaching we regrouped and planned a quick getaway to Utah. Our plans were to see several National Parks and enjoy some down time just the two of us.
We flew into Salt Lake City and drove from there to Moab. Moab became our hub for all of our outdoor adventures.
On Day 1, we headed to Arches National Park. We spent most of the day there driving through, pulling off to see the vistas and hiking to some of the arches including our favorite, Delicate Arch (below).
Day 2 we stayed around Moab and did some shopping and took an RZR adventure tour on a trail called Hell’s Revenge It was a blast after I got over the initial ascent where I thought I was going to die. Following the trip, we took a drive around La Sal Mountain Loop.
The views are just out of this world!
Day 3, we hit 2 National Parks: Canyonlands & Capital Reef. They are 2 hours apart, but with Capital Reef, I can now say I’ve seen Utah’s Mighty 5. Both were super impressive. We loved Canyonlands Mesa Arch and Upheavel Dome where scientists believe a meteor hit to create the 2 mile wide crater. In Capital Reef we hiked the Narrows, stunning cliff walls and narrow passageways.

These hiking shoes (LINK) were awesome! They held up great for the 20 miles we hiked and were extremely comfortable!
Loved this trip. Wonderful way to celebrate 20 years!
