Our Christmas tree, well that's a story! We travel for Christmas so it's always been a faux tree. I sometimes wish for a real but the convenience of a fake is just too easy. I also had a BIG beautiful full tree, but when my husband and I couldn't get it up from the basement without a lift crane (joke, but almost real), I decided to ditch it and go with a much smaller (don't like it as much) version. With 3 children and a busy holiday season, it serves its purpose. Maybe someday we'll go back to a prize-winning tree, but for now, I'm happy with my “I can assemble it in 10 minutes” tree! 🙂
Ok, now that I've explained that….
My style can probably best be summed up in…..
Three words: Vintage, Cozy, Farmhouse
What do these 3 words mean to me?
Vintage: I enjoy thrifting and antiquing to find previously used pieces to collect and use throughout my home. These pieces are not necessarily true antiques by definition, but may have a story or are meaningful to us for some reason. I find it fun when time allows to scour stores and find those one of a kind pieces. My Christmas tree is not just one particular type of ornament because I love the look of ornaments collected through the years. I have many of the ornaments from when I was a child and these mix in well with the new ornaments we recently bought.
Cozy: Cozy means to me a warm, comfortable, casual feeling. I want my home to be a place where people can relax, get comfortable and hang out. Even my Christmas tree is kid and pet friendly. The style isn't formal or uniform but instead uses non breakable ornaments and lots of textures such as wood, yarn, and burlap. I like animal ornaments and kid friendly ornaments made out of felt. It is just plain fun!
Farmhouse: My tree has very little decorations except for ornaments, no garland except for a strand of yarn balls. I like the natural rustic look which is farmhouse style. My tree skirt is burlap and my presents are corralled in a large basket. I use pinecones and stick stars along with woodland bottle bristle animal ornaments to decorate my tree.

That garland is so much fun and I love the basket with the chalkboard sign! Lovely tree!!

Beautiful Amy!! Loving the rustic ornaments!! The cute animal ones are so adorable!!! Pinned and shared
Thank you Stephanie! 🙂
You tree looks amazing! We have a real tree this year but keep forgetting to water it so I think it will be faux next year for us.
I love how put together your tree looks. Mine is such a hodge podge, oh well.
Thank you for linking up to Welcome Home Wednesdays.
So cute!! I love the vintage cozy farmhouse feel -and the woodland animals are adorable!! I know what you mean about the convenience of a “faux” tree- and about the lift crane. I just bought a new one this year after having a real tree for a few years- and my husband asked me why I chose a “mall sized” tree. I’m a bit nervous about storing it and then hauling it out of storage next season:)
I still miss mine, may reconsider for next year. Can I get one on wheels? lol
So pretty, Amy! I love your style because I can totally relate! So cozy and welcoming!
Ooh Love this!!! So cozy. I love that red and white garland too, fits perfectly with your tree! Happy Holidays!
