Some of the issues that need to be addressed through the challenge:
√1.New Wall Treatment: walls need to be updated to anchor the space
√2.Get rid of the bunk beds and instead, create a “couch” with twin beds.
3.Find the perfect dresser for the space.
4.Reconfigure closet to create a desk space and storage.
5.New wall art and accessories for the room.
Week 2
{This post contains affiliate links, see full disclosure here.}
After clearing out the space and dismantling the bunk beds, we decided to go with these platform beds which are low to the ground and can be tucked together into the corner to create a large “couch” area.
Another project was to paint over the baby blue color with a crisp white.
We removed the closet doors and stripped out the “guts” of the closet. We are planning on reconfiguring this space.
Lastly, I took one of the bookcases and lined the back with white and gold polka dot fabric to jazz it up!
