Today, before we go into a final reveal phase, I thought I'd share with you some of the little details of our kitchen renovation project. When it comes to a kitchen, it's not only a large space but the hub of the home. My desire was to make it functional and have a classic style that will be relevant for years to come. There are honestly so many choices to be made when renovating your kitchen that it can become almost overwhelming! I knew right away, I wanted to have a fresh, white space so that meant white kitchen cabinets, counters, and appliances. These were the building blocks of this renovation and are sometimes the hardest decisions to make. My recommendation is to take your time deciding these things and do your homework. They are the pieces that will harder to change (and more costly) in the future. Once I had those decided, I was wide open and the little details were more fun to decide. Today, I'm sharing with you 3 of the key elements I used to pull this reno together!

I decided to go with a traditional Subway tile but in a longer and chunkier version. This keeps it classic but with just a bit of a twist. I purchased this 4×12 inch tile at Lowes. I used all white grout to give it a seamless look.
The floating shelves were manufactured by American Woodmark through Home Depot. I purchased them unfinished and had them stained with this Miniwax Polyshade in Honey. The same shelving was used in my Bar and Beverage Nook. The hood and the top of the island are stained the same.
The gorgeous antique brass pulls are from D. Lawless Hardware. I absolutely love them! They make my shaker cabinets look like furniture. The brass warms up the space and they are unique and beautiful!. I used the Antique Brass Bail Pull for the cabinets and the Antique Brass Horizontal Bail Pull for the drawers. Aren't they lovely?
We are down to the last element in here (the island) and then we can call this reno a wrap! I've been enjoying this space so much and cannot wait to show you all the little details that I've been adding over the last few months!

I love the clean white cottage design with the mint accents. A great kitchen for a beach cottage!
Amazing home, literally looks like you are living in a country home magazine. Major envy.
