Silhouette Challenge: Thanksgiving Utensil Holders

It's a Silhouette Challenge Day!

I always look forward to this day once a month for all the incredible ideas generated by the amazing bloggers included in this collaboration.  

Today with the holidays approaching, we decided to theme our challenge to something dining related.  If you caught my Thanksgiving tablescape post on Monday, you saw these utensil holders.  I created these using my Silhouette.  It's a super simple DIY project that can be translated to any holiday or tablescape. 

I love the idea of having the utensils gathered into a packet especially when serving a large group of people.  These would be perfect for a buffet style meal.  Put them in a cute little bucket or basket and it's easy for your guest to hold them along with their plate.  

Simple Utensil Holders

Supplies:

• Silhouette Cameo
• Gold Foil Printable Sticker Paper
• Brown Craft Bags 

Instructions:

1. I started with two different designs I purchased from the Silhouette store.  I plan on doing every other plate with a different saying.  I measured my bags to be sure that the size of the design was correct.
2. I was able to fit six designs on one sheet of the gold foil paper.  
3. I used the fill color feature to fill in the design
4. I printed my design onto the gold foil using my printer (helps save ink).
5. Then I used my Silhouette machine to cut my designs out.
6. Just like a sticker, adhere the label to the brown bag.

I love how the gold makes a simple brown craft bag look chic.  

Here are the finished utensil holders on my table just waiting for their big debut this Thanksgiving.
