If you are stopping by My Life From Home for the first time, welcome!  I am so glad you are here!

I don't usually decorate for Valentine's Day in my home, but decided this year to make a small pallet sign to add to my winter decor on my mantel.  Just a little touch of LOVE for the upcoming holiday.  I wanted to continue my neutral color scheme, so instead of using bright reds and pinks, I kept it low key; using instead white, black and silver.

This was a fun craft and you could do it a variety of different ways or with different colors.  I purchased the Walnut Hollow Rustic Pallet, 11 by 11-Inch sign on Amazon.  I had some leftover white craft paint, so I didn't need to purchase that.  The only other thing I used was my Silhouette machine to make the word LOVE and the arrows out of vinyl.

RUSTIC PALLET LOVE SIGN:

Step 1: After minor sanding to make the pallet smoother, I watered down my white craft paint to make it more of a whitewash versus a thick paint.  I wanted the rustic wood to show through but add just a touch of color to the pallet.

Step2: I started brushing it on, but found that since the paint was so watery, it was easier to rub it on with a cloth.  That way the paint didn't spray everywhere!

Step 3: Using my Silhouette machine, I cut out the word LOVE and 2 arrows out of vinyl.

Step 4: Once adhered on the sign, smooth down the vinyl with a credit card or other straight edge object to get rid of any bumps.

You're All Done!

Now that it's finished, I think I may leave it up all winter!
