How do you carry your keys? Do you have a boring old key chain from the auto dealership or something more cute and fun? I used to have a cute one and then it fell apart. It was then replaced with a plastic and (boring!) one. I decided it was time to carry my keys in style again, because why not? So, I took some inspiration from my favorite trend of wooden bead garlands and created today’s key chain project. I’ve had this mass of wood beads lying around just waiting to be used for something simple and adorable just like this DIY.

Supplies:
Craft paint colors of your choice
Instructions:
I started with an old key ring I had on hand. I tied on a leather piece, matching the ends together and making sure it was long enough to handle several beads and still be knotted at the end. Next, I painted my pre-drilled wood beads in gold, black, and white. Finally, thread them on and tie a tight knot at the end.
It looks great with my planner and either my black or brown purse. Now I’m rockin a super cute key chain! What colors will you make yours?
