I'm in full on spring mode over here which means I've created a whole new mantel scape in my office that I'm going to share with you today! Even though the weather doesn't feel like spring here in Ohio. We are still getting snow! 🙁 Regardless, we are pretending it is spring all around with greenery and bits of pink and blush making their way into our spaces! Our Decorate Your Mantel team is back today and will be sharing their spring mantels with you as well, so be sure to follow their links through at the end of the post to gather even more inspiration for your spring mantels.
I decided to give my mantel a simple & fresh spring look with basic elements that anyone can use. I actually did not buy anything new for this look, but instead repurposed and gathered items already in my home.
I collect glass vases and bottles. Many of which I have picked up at thrift stores. Some are vintage and others are not. Putting them in a grouping makes more of a statement than using them individually. So for one side of the mantel, I used a grouping of vases and put faux greenery sprigs in some of them and left others without. In the center, I used three frames I already had and added one photo from a beach trip years ago. In the other two, I printed out the flower quote and inserted it into the gold frame. In the white frame, I used a graphic printable of a fern. Lastly, flanking the other end of the mantel, a stack of books with a small bud vase and more greenery along with one more taller vase to mimic the height on the other side. One little brass duck is the perfect little tie in with my brass frame (and just looks cute!)
A very simple look which is fresh and will last all season even into summer.

I love those bud vases, Amy. You’re right, grouping them together really makes a statement! I especially like the idea of just gathering items around the home for this display.
