Several years ago, I made these adorable Merry & Bright Pinecone Fire Starters (LINK). Today, we are making them again with a slight variation. Instead of pinecones, I have created this batch in muffin liners. This gives you some flexibility to add some herbs to make your fires smell amazing!

Cloves
These are super simple to make with the supplies above. For this batch, I added rosemary, cloves, and cinnamon sticks, but lavender, orange peels or even essential oils would be great as well. They are not only functional and pretty but smell amazing as well.
My biggest tip is to use a pan or pot that is only for candle making or wax projects like this. It is really difficult to clean the pot of the wax after it's been melted. You don't want to ruin your good ones, so invest in a candle making pot (LINK) or use an old pot you don't care about!
Place muffin liners into your muffin tray and add a cinnamon stick and clove into each one.
Cut your wicks so they come out 1 inch above the muffin case.
Add your wax into your candle making pot and melt it on the stove.
Pour the mented wax into the muffin liner, ensuring the wick is accesssable from the top.
Leave the wax melts to set until they are completely solid.

XO,
These look good enough to eat!
I know! My son went to grab one of the counter and I had to disappoint him and say “Sorry bud!” 🙂
