It's been awhile since we've taken a cruise, so we are excited to be going on Royal Caribbean for a 5 night cruise to Cuba! Our oldest daughter will be taking a trip with her Latin Club from school, so it will be the first time traveling without one of our kids. That makes me a bit sad, but I am so happy and excited for her experience. While she's away, we squeezed in a trip for the rest of us. I have seen some gorgeous pictures of Cuba, so I am ready for a few days away enjoying the sun and the adventure of a new destination.
Packing for a cruise is a little different due to the fact that you need to plan outfits for dinner including one night of formal wear. I managed to work my wardrobe to accommodate fun and formal by mixing and matching outfits between day and night.
Here is what I packed!

I have linked all of my these outfit pieces below, so be sure to scroll down to find the pictures and shoppable links at the bottom of this post.
I packed several pairs of shorts and then plan to mix and match the tops between day outings and dinners at night.
These four pairs will work for any of the day trips we take. My plan is to then pack the following tops to coordinate with them.
For dinners in the evening, I packed a cute pair of wide leg crop pants in cream from J. Crew which will coordinate well with many of the tops above. By adding a cute necklace, I can dress up the outfit.
I also purchased this cute, jumpsuit from Evereve which I will wear one of the evenings.
On formal night, I have this gorgeous maxi dress which I wore in a wedding last year. This particular style is no longer available, but I linked several other close options below.
My favorite swimsuit is this two piece from Athleta.
For a cover up, I grabbed this cute black one from Target.
For shoes, I packed only three pairs. I am wearing these sneakers on the plane and then packed the other two sandals.
For the airplane, I will wear this light sweatshirt and denim jacket paired with the sneakers above and my favorite leggings. This way, I'm warm enough leaving Ohio weather and I'll have a light sweatshirt or jacket for cooler nights on the boat.
Have you ever been on a cruise? I'd love to hear where and what you thought!
