I have a soft spot for this mantel in my home. It is in my favorite space in our house, full of my favorite books, treasured objects from our travels, and the most beautiful sunlight in the mornings. I enjoy a cup of coffee in here and do my morning devotional in the leather chair in the corner. Last spring, I decorated my mantel with some very special keepsakes; letters from my grandfather to my grandmother written during the war. They provided the perfect backdrop to display some of my favorite collections. You can see the full Spring Mantel with Keepsakes, here (LINK).
For fall, I decided I didn't want to change up my mantel a whole lot. I was really feeling that simple classic look this season. I know you can agree that sometimes it is easier and just as beautiful to keep things the same. A few simple changes and my mantel was dressed for the season.

I kept all the same elements from the spring mantel except for the clear jug in the middle. In place of that, I stacked three velvet pumpkins. Using four milk glass vases from my collection, I added wheat sheaves on either side of my frames.
I popped the glass jug down beside our copper fire bin and sticks and that was it! Our fall mantel was complete.

I hope this inspires you that it's ok to not completely rewrite your decor each season and that even subtle changes make a difference!
