We host both Christmas and Thanksgiving each year at our home. We don't have a huge gathering, which makes it easier to put together a pretty table. With our table that seats 10, I don't have to deal with folding chairs etc. which is nice. Every year, I like to change it up a bit, so this year was no exception. My inspiration was some pomegranates that I picked up at the grocery. They are such a pretty fruit, aren't they? Pairing the pomegranates with gold and greenery turned into a lovely and elegant setting, perfect for Christmas!

I started with the red, green, and gold runner that I purchased from HomeGoods. Layering on top of that, the three candle sconces, pomegranates, fresh and faux greenery and mercury glass votives. For each table setting, a gold charger, a festive napkin purchased last year at HomeGoods, a white plate and a spring of fresh berries. I took each gold flatware set and tied them together with a green velvet ribbon and laid it across the plate.
I made the DIY Etched Holiday Glasses (LINK) this year which made a cute addition to the table.
Tip: I purchased a store bought cake and decorated it with fresh greens and berries to give it a custom look.
I hope you enjoyed this table setting and feel inspired for your own Christmas table!
XO,
Most Sundays, once the house has gone quiet and it's edging towards nine, a letter goes out. It's the one I'd write to a friend with good taste and not nearly enough time: one thing worth reading, one thing worth buying, and one thing to skip. No noise, no pressure to spend, just the considered version of what I've actually been using, loving, or quietly sending back.
If you like the sort of recommendation that still holds up six months later, leave your email below and I'll write to you on Sunday.
