If you've been following along on our move and kitchen remodel, then you know that we just wrapped up the reno in February. Not a whole lot has changed in there since then, but I have added a few pops of summer which I thought I'd share with you today.
It's the third week of our summer series called, Room by Room. In this series, you are going to have the opportunity to take a peek into different rooms in our home each week this summer. While visiting those spaces, we hope to share some of our favorite projects already completed, what’s on our to-do list for that space and give you tips to make the most of that room in your own home. This is a team effort, so no matter what your style, there’s a blogger for you to visit and gather inspiration from. All their spaces are linked at the bottom, so be sure to scroll all the way down and visit their rooms. If you want to look back on last year’s Room by Room series, you can find all the rooms I covered in this Organized Office post.
I am so in love with our kitchen and it has gotten a major workout this summer! With three kids home all day, I have spent more than my share of time in it. I can say that so far, I have not regretted one decision we made about our new space. It is a light and cheery space which is well organized for convenience while cooking. I am thrilled with the amount of storage space we have and the layout has really worked for our family with various workstations throughout.

I continue to add pops of green throughout our kitchen whenever I come across something I like. I really love this jadeite color and was thrilled when I scored this vintage green painted tray at a local antique store. It was the perfect piece to add to my range hood.
Another unusual piece I picked up at an antique store is this fruit and veggie wheel on my island. When I saw it, I was not sure where I was going to use it but had to have it because of the color. As it turns out, it makes the perfect place to display our produce!
One of my favorite spots in our kitchen is my indoor plant garden in the bay window. I've used this spot for a small greenhouse, several plant stands, and a hanging plant. It adds a lot of life to our space and is perfect for growing indoor herbs as well. Our custom shutters from Sunburst are amazing and add just the right amount of light and privacy. You can read more about these in this post (link.)
I hope you like these pops of summer cheer I've added to my kitchen. And there's much more to see of the full reveal of our White Cottage Kitchen here (link).
