My goal for my fall dining room was to keep it simple and elegant.

I shared my dining room fall mantel dressed in gold faux pears and eucalyptus a couple weeks ago. If you missed it, you can see the full post, here (LINK). I grabbed some more gold pears and placed them on a silver tray for the centerpiece on the table. Really just having those and a vessel of hydrangeas gave a perfect nod to fall.
Fall is a great time to pull out vintage dishes and put them on display. My bookshelf and hutch are perfect display spots. I don't know about you, but I tend to use things more if I can see them!

If you've never dried hydrangeas before, I encourage you to give it a try! It's super easy and just look how beautiful they look drying in a vintage brass vessel!

I picked up these green goblets at a thrift store recently. I think they pair well with my vintage dishes.

On the sideboard, I added one little faux gold pear on a marble and wood cutting board. The lamp is another thrift store find and the shade is new from Ballard Designs. I really like the fun pattern on it!

XO,
Most Sundays, once the house has gone quiet and it's edging towards nine, a letter goes out. It's the one I'd write to a friend with good taste and not nearly enough time: one thing worth reading, one thing worth buying, and one thing to skip. No noise, no pressure to spend, just the considered version of what I've actually been using, loving, or quietly sending back.
If you like the sort of recommendation that still holds up six months later, leave your email below and I'll write to you on Sunday.
