Our master bedroom retreat is one of my favorite spaces in our home. The more I work on making it our own, filling it with things I love, and adding in just the right touches, the more I enjoy spending time there. Right from the beginning, I knew this room needed to be cozied up. It's a large space and will dwarf most pieces of furniture. We purchased a lot of items to fill up the room and create a seating area along with our bed. Recently, I had craved a change and decided on a whim to move the furniture around. Yes, I did it myself while my husband was at work. Guilty! Nothing is too large or impossible for me when I have my mind-set, anyone else? I basically moved the tv into the bookshelves and the bed on the other wall. This left a perfect space for our gray painted dresser in the window bay. A little movement of the couch and chaise to be closer to the fireplace and I was smitten. The only thing was, it left one whole wall without anything. This is where today's post starts and by the way, Greg did like the new arrangement. It actually seems to fill the space and ups that cozy factor even more which I like.
I knew for that empty wall what I wanted right away. A tall armoire painted white. If you follow me on Instagram (I hope you do!), I posted a story about this new piece I found at a local antique mall. It was actually already painted and perfect for the room. The cost was $95 and I lucked out that the booth was having a 20% off sale! Great price for a great piece. My daughter asked what I was going to put in it (good question!), not sure yet, I simply bought it for the aesthetic. Yep, I did. The only thing is, it looked a little lonely there by itself and as one thing always leads to another, I ended up with a chair and ottoman and an art piece from the Ballard Designs Outlet to flank each side of the cabinet. I added layered art on the top and wallah it was done!

XO,
