Easy Coffee Station Makeover with Removable Wallpaper

A coffee station is more than just a place to make your morning brew. It is a cosy corner that sets the tone for the day. When we remodelled our kitchen, I was determined to include a dedicated coffee station. Having everything in one spot makes mornings smoother, and coffee is a daily ritual in our home that I simply cannot live without.

Recently, I decided my coffee station needed a refresh. Rather than take on a big project, I found the perfect solution: removable wallpaper. This quick and budget-friendly update completely transformed the space. The best part is that if I ever change my mind, I can peel it off and try something new.

If you are looking for an easy way to refresh your kitchen or coffee nook, here is how I did it and why removable wallpaper is a great option for any home.

Why Choose Removable Wallpaper?

Removable wallpaper is a great choice for renters, DIY lovers, or anyone who enjoys updating their decor without a long-term commitment. Here are a few reasons I love using it:

  • Easy to install with no messy glue or paste
  • Temporary but durable, holding up well while being easy to remove
  • Available in endless design options, from bold patterns to subtle textures
  • A budget-friendly alternative to repainting or installing new tiles

I have used removable wallpaper in other areas of our home and have been amazed at how simple yet effective it is in transforming a space.

Before the Makeover

My coffee station started with a thrifted cabinet that I updated using chalk paint. The white finish gave it a fresh and clean look, but I wanted to add more personality to the space.

Here is what it looked like before:

I loved the simplicity, but I wanted something that felt more intentional and stylish. That is where the removable wallpaper came in.

The Coffee Station Makeover Process

For this project, I used NuWallpaper removable wallpaper from Lowe’s. The design I chose had a subtle yet eye-catching pattern that added texture and interest without overwhelming the space.

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Clean the surface by wiping down the wall to ensure the wallpaper sticks properly
  2. Measure and cut the wallpaper to fit the space, leaving a little extra for adjustments
  3. Peel and stick, starting from one corner and smoothing it onto the wall while pressing out any air bubbles with a credit card
  4. Trim the edges with a craft knife for a polished finish

In less than an hour, my coffee station had a completely new look.

The Final Reveal

The result is a fresh and stylish coffee nook that looks completely different with just one simple update.

The wallpaper adds depth and interest to the space while keeping the overall aesthetic light and airy. Since it is removable, I can always try a different pattern in the future if I want another change.

Tips for Using Removable Wallpaper

If you are thinking about using removable wallpaper for a home update, here are a few helpful tips:

  • Choose a smooth surface, as wallpaper adheres best to clean, even surfaces
  • Take your time to avoid air bubbles and wrinkles
  • Use a level to keep the design straight, especially with patterns
  • Save extra pieces in case you need to patch an area later

I love it, it is adorable! You made it so light and bright, a beautiful change. I have a coffee station on a counter that is in my kitchen, but not in the main kitchen. I would love to have one its own piece of furniture. Yours turned out lovely, I love your little lamp! Great inspiration!
