My summer porch was looking pretty ratty and it was certainly time for a refresh! Though it was 90 degrees here today, I spent the morning shopping for mums, pumpkins, and all the cute fall stuff! I decided it was time for a new fall doormat which I picked up along with a cute pumpkin sign at my local Big Lots. The doormat was only $10!

I love to layer my rugs and this black and white plaid rug (LINK) I purchased a while ago has been a great layering piece for many of my seasonal porches.

You will notice that I concentrate a lot of effort on creating a corner vignette with a straw bale, mums, and a trio of black lanterns. It fills that corner nicely. and balances out the heavy bench on the other side of the porch.

XO,
Most Sundays, once the house has gone quiet and it's edging towards nine, a letter goes out. It's the one I'd write to a friend with good taste and not nearly enough time: one thing worth reading, one thing worth buying, and one thing to skip. No noise, no pressure to spend, just the considered version of what I've actually been using, loving, or quietly sending back.
If you like the sort of recommendation that still holds up six months later, leave your email below and I'll write to you on Sunday.
