I'm plugging away over here getting all the final details in place in our new Cottage Kitchen. What we have left is our range hood, our custom island, and the lighting above it. These will be the icing on the cake to a kitchen I've already fallen in love with! One of the areas we are completely finished with is our bar and beverage nook. It's just around the corner from our peninsula and faces our large family room space. It is recessed in the wall at cabinet depth and is perfect for our mini beverage fridge.

Here is a before picture.
Here is an after!
We decided to ditch the upper cabinets and instead use this beautiful Menza Gray tile from Home Depot on the wall. We then added open shelving for our glassware and our quartz countertop with a drawer and cabinet below. We didn't really see a necessity for a sink, so we opted out of that for more countertop space. The wall tile makes a dramatic impact in such a little space. I love the pretty gray and white pattern against the stained wood shelves. All of our bar glasses fit perfectly on the shelves and will be at the ready for when we entertain. We can set up an open bar on the counter and have a buffet of food right next door on our peninsula. Our kids love the convenience of the beverage fridge for grabbing water, juice boxes, or soda while watching tv.
The pretty glassware is the decoration in and of itself, so I only needed to add a couple of vintage jars, a green cloche, plant, and a brass lamp to finish it off. On the other side are our wine decanter, tray and a couple of stemless glasses.
