Hello Again! I’ve Missed You & Summer Updates

It's been awhile since I've blogged over here!  I am excited to get back at it this week and get into a regular routine again!

I've missed hanging out with you!  Our summer got away from us.  It was a busy one, but oh so much fun happened!  I honestly thought when the kids were little, that life was busy, but 2 teenage daughters and a 3rd grader have a way of making life simply chaotic!  Anyone else agree?

Today, I thought I would pop in to catch you up on what we've been doing!  Sound good?

We took a major family vacation in June.  We were gone for 20 days in Eastern Europe between a 14 day cruise and a 5 day stay in England.  We saw so much and made so many memories!   I will need to do a full blog post on our trip in the future!

The biggest celebration came at the end of June when we celebrated my parent's 50th Wedding Anniversary!  Family came in town for the week and we did several fun things together including a local escape room!

We also spent a lot of time outside whether it was working on our landscaping or swimming in the pool.  I really got a hang of keeping the pool chemicals in check so the pool was the perfect summer getaway.

Another few weekends, I spent alongside my daughter in many different AAU Basketball games in gyms around the country.  One of which happened to be a weekend in Atlanta and as a side trip we went to the Coca Cola Museum.

Another fun weekend was spent in Lexington seeing the University of Kentucky with my daughter who is beginning to think about college.  She's my horsey girl and it seemed like the perfect fit with all the horse farms nearby.  We also slid over to Louisville and saw Shawn Mendes and the next day visited the Kentucky Derby Museum.  Perfect weekend if you need a getaway!

Rounding out the summer was a fun weekend with friends boating in Lake Cumberland!

Now it's back to school and this tired mama has geared up for soccer season and getting some home projects that were put on hold completed!

Many a summer night, you could find my son out on his tree swing.  We put this combination up for him this summer.  It was super easy and he was in heaven!  (LINK for swing), (LINK for straps).  He's gotten hours of enjoyment from this one outdoor toy!

XO,
