Today, I'm sharing another simple DIY project that would make a beautiful gift idea any time of the year. These DIY candles are made in thrift store crystal bowls that I bought for $1 a piece. Once you've got your candle making supplies, it is super easy to make your own candles any time. It will definitely save you money if you enjoy candles as much as I do! Especially this time of year, I burn candles most of the day. I love the seasonal scents. Candles can be pricey if you burn them as much as I do, so I taught myself how to make candles to supplement the ones that I love and to give as gifts. Who doesn't love a candle?

It's a bit of investment initially, but with a few supplies, you can make endless amounts of candles. I buy most of my candle making supplies on Amazon (Link).
You can also add coloring to your hot wax mixture and stir it in before pouring into vessel if you want a colored candle.
I love the crystal bowls! When they burn, the glass just twinkles and when the candle is done, you can reuse the bowl.
Mason jars are another beautiful vessel to hold your DIY candles. Here's a DIY Apple Pie Mason Jar Candle (LINK), I made awhile ago. If you aren't interested in making your own, I have several candles in vintage vessels available in White Cottage Home Store (LINK).
