I've wanted to write this post for a while now. It's always fun to look back at how far you've come on your to-do list. When you are during renovations and remodeling, it is often hard to see the progress. By looking back at the before and alters, it helps you realize all that you've accomplished.
As sad as I was to leave our old home, I have found my joy in this new space and all that it has to offer. Not only do I love the fact that it's all on one floor, but the larger more open spaces are better suited for our busy family. Having a pool and more yard to care for has been both a blessing and a curse. There is still a lot we would like to do outside to make better entertaining spaces but for our first summer in our home, we truly enjoyed the privacy and the pool.
Join me as we look back at one year in our home.

We painted this space, Alabaster by Sherwin Williams and headed that same color all the way down the bedroom hallway. That was the only physical update to the space. See my small entryway vignetter, here (LINK).

We did a complete remodel of the kitchen. We removed all the cabinets and appliances, reworked the space to include open shelving, new appliances, a custom island, coffee bar, and added an additional peninsula space with seating as a breakfast bar. We painted the whole space Alabaster by Sherwin Williams. Around the corner, we redid the wet bar into a wine and beverage nook. One of the selling points of the house was this room! With it's built in bookshelves, fireplace and doors out to the courtyard, it really is a beautiful space. We painted it Repose Gray by Sherwin Williams and removed the heavy draperies on the sliding doors.
